Making a Hunk of Meat

Normally I eat pretty light, but for an at-home date night my boyfriend and I decided to cook together.  To satisfy the carnivores in us, we made rich filet mignon with a compound butter (I totally made it up flying by the seat of my pants), roasted asparagus and of course rice.  We just don't like eating without rice.  The inspiration here, but basically all you need to know is: butter.
