Style Feature: Chelsea

Readers, meet Chelsea.  She's one of my good friends at school, and this year we've had the chance to go out and explore more of downtown together.  I've always enjoyed seeing Chelsea's laid-back style; it's preppy with a bit of California cool.  Being an avid fan of colored pants, she's a girl after my own heart with these bright blue jeans.

"Last year I was more concerned about staying warm during the fall and winter, so I just wore the basic uniform of jeans, shirt and coat. It hasn't gotten as cold this year, so I've been experimenting more with wearing simple colors with a complementary print and adding on cool accessories. My colored pants are a twist on the classic blue jean; sometimes I get stares from other students because they're so bright!" ~Chelsea

"I also have a thing for scarves (like this chunky one here)." Tying her scarf onto her purse strap is not only practical, but also a fall-inspired take on the silk-scarf-tied-to-purse look.
