One of my favorite places to hang out when I go downtown is Java's - right next to the Eastman School of Music and full of character (and of course lots of hip musicians!). When I have some extra time on the weekends (read: when the buses run an hour and a half apart and I need somewhere to do work after my lesson), I grab a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and sit at the window to people watch. (If it's warm out, a Kinky Reggae or Chocolate Sitch hits the spot.) Definitely great on a blustery day!
