Hello Readers,
Most of you don't know but my family is doing a grand tour of China, starting in Beijing. I'm currently sitting in a five star hotel listening to someone sing "Someone Like You" in the lobby- I don't think I've ever been in a hotel quite so nice. And it's surprising given the relatively rundown appearance of everything here in comparison to America. Regardless, I'm enjoying myself. From the awesome food to the monumental landmarks, it's hard to believe humans could build such places. (In the picture above, my aunt is laughing at my cloned brother on the Great Wall.) We leave Beijing tomorrow but I thought I'd share some of the photos on my phone as a teaser for what's to come:

The turtle at the beginning of the sacred way. You can either touch the nose for long life or the tail for happiness. You can see what my parents decided they wanted!
EDIT: Thank you to Melinda for posting this while I was on my trip - I couldn't figure out how to get blogger to work while abroad. I'll be sure to visit all of your blogs and return the love!
